Poverty

The support point for combating poverty, insecurity and social exclusion is part of the Centre.

It seeks to keep the eradication of poverty as a priority on the political agenda. In consultation with associations in which the poor have a chance to speak such as Public Centres for Social Welfare, trade unions, professionals from different sectors, administrations, etc., it formulates analyses and recommendations for policy makers in our country.

The support point is established by the Federal Government, regions and communities. This special situation gives it a partly independent status and it has its own website on poverty and social exclusion in Belgium:
